Most of our projects use drought tolerant shrubs in over 75% of the design. When planted in good soil and with a carefully planned irrigation system, the result is a low water use traditional landscape that is easily approved by HOA’s. We implement state of the art systems including drip irrigation, monitoring, water capture & reuse.
For those who have a progressive HOA or none at all, we encourage a different approach that will require far less water. These designs won’t have a traditional lawn as ground cover or perennials are used instead. The style of these will usually look very informal, natural or even wild if that is your preference! A few clients from arid areas have even requested looks that remind them of home. These designs will contain more yucca, sedum, ornamental grasses and colorful rocks. Take a look at our diverse projects then let us know your goals. We’ll design something wonderful.
Our sanctuary gardens are designed to be water wise. By utilizing xeriscape principles including choosing the right plant for the right place and an efficient irrigation system, you can have a lush, colorful, drought tolerant landscape.
Here you will see sustainable examples of many styles and applications ranging from front yard south facing dry hillsides to back yard landscapes around pool.
